KASASSABA KO NEMAN NA ABINCI?




Masu azancin magana sun ce kowa da kiwon da ya karbe shi wai makocin mai akuya ya sai kura. A yayin da wasu ke ta faman fadi-tashin neman aikin dogaro da kai dare da rana safe da yamma daga masana'antu zuwa ma'aikatun gwamnati. A kuma yayin da wasu suka nema har suka gaza tare da fauwala komai ga mai kowa da komai. A kuma yayin da wasu suka zabi zama 'yan bangar siyasa a matsayin rufawa kai asiri. A kuma yayin da wasu suka gwammace zuki-fesar a dandi. Malam Isa Yakubu kuwa gwammacewa yayi da zaman banza gwamma bin kogo ko rami domin ya zura hannun sa ya damko maciji. Duk kuwa da cewar hakan ba karamar kasada ba ce, domin matsanacin hatsabibancin da ke tattare da shu'umar halittar da kaidin ta ke da matukar tasiri mai tsoratarwa ga rayuwar bil'Adama.
Ganin yadda jama'a ke darewa a yayin da ya tinkare su, dauke da shi a kafada ko kuma rike da shi a hannun kamar yana dauke da buhun masu gudan rana. Ya sa wakilin mu Maje El-Hajeej Hotoro tattaunawa da shi, musamman ma ganin yadda ya ke cunkusa kan macijin cikin bakin sa ya na tsotsa tamkar ya na mai tsotsar alwar dinya.

Wannan gado ne daga mahaifi zuwa kaka. Na taso daga gida na ga ana yin sa.
Kusan shekara nawa kenan ka na wannan sana'a?
Kusan shekara 34 kenan.
Ko ka taba haduwa da sharrin maciji?
Ina haduwa da macijin iska wanda ya ke cewa ya fi karfi na kuma da ikon Allah zan ci nasara akan sa kowane irin maciji ne. Maciji mai gemu, mai dan kuune, kowane iri ne ina yawan haduwa da shi a daji amma da yardar Allah ina kama su ba macijin da ya fi karfi na.
Ganin maciji na da sharri. Ko ka taba haduwa da sharrin sa?
Babu.
Da gaske kuma akwai na isaka kamar yadda wasu ke fada?
Sosai kuwa. Akwai mai gemu, akwai mai dan kunne, akwai kuma wanda zai yi maka magana ya ce ya fi karfin ka sai dai ka kama jikokin sa.
Ta yaya ku ke kama shi?
In dai za'a samu bakin abu a yanka, iskokin su bar kan sa, sai mu kama shi.
Ko da gaske ne idan mutum ya na cin maciji idan ya gan shi zai rika jin tsoron sa?

Kasa, kububuwa, gansheka, jannasori, wuju-wuju, takwasara da sauran su.
Ko da gaske ne akwai macijin da ya ke tashi sama?
Sosai ma kuwa.
Kamar wadanne?
Akwai Darman, kububuwa, tsadaraki duk suna tashi sama.
Ina gaskiyar cewar kasa na shekara ta na barci?
Wannan duk fade ne idan ka zo kan ta za ta sa ni.

Kisan Gillar Sheikh Ja’afar Mahmud Adam.

“ Wajibi ne akan shugaba ya tsare wa wadanda ya ke mulka rayuwar su, ta yadda za su iya barci har da munshari a gidajen su. Saboda samar da tsari na tsaro mai inganci, ta hanyar kare hannun duk wadanda aka san kai-ka-won su, zai iya zama barazana ga al’umma. Ta hanyar tabbatar da doka ga dukkan wanda ya ke yiwa dokar karantsaye.
Duk wanda ya firgitar da wani ko wasu ya hana su yin barci a kowane dalili, ko ta hanyar karbar dukiyar sa, ko a dalilin murdiya da jayayya, ko a dalilin kabilanci, ko wani dalili na daban. To ya kasance shugaba ya hukunta, wannan wanda ya hana wasu barci.”
Ko kadan marigayi Ja’afar Mahmud Adam, ba shi da masaniya a lokacin da yake futra wadannan lafuzza cewar, ‘yan sa’a’o’I kadan ne suka rage masa ya amsa kiran mahaliccin sa. “ Muna cikin sallah ni da nake bayan sa, sai na jiyo takun kafa alamun mutum na tahowa. Kuma na fuskanci shi kan sa Malam din ya ji takun kafar. Kawai sai wasu mutane kusan 4 suka shigo, gami da harbin sa Fau! A daidai kasan hammatar sa, sai kuma suka bude wuta a cikin masallacin. Shi kuwa Malam sai ya yi kalmar shahada, tare da fadin:
“ Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihir-Raji’un.”
“Wanda tun daga nan bai kara cewa komai ba.”
Shin ko ta wacce kafa suka shigo?
“ Ta kofar da shi Malam din ya ke shigowa suka shigo.”
Bayan shi Malam din ko akwai wanda suka kashe ko kuma raunana?
“ Akwai wani makaho da duk lokacin da aka bude masallacin shine ya ke fara shigowa, sun harbe shi a kafa. Sannan akwai wanda suka harba, wanda shima nan take ya rasu.”
Ba ka tunanin ko cikin wa’azin sa na jiya, ya taba wasu da ba su ji dadi ba, wanda hakan zai iya sawa su yi masa wannan abin?
“ Malam bai taba kowa bacikin wa’azin sa, ya dai yi wa’azi ga shugabanni su ji tsoron Allah.”
Haka shima wani matashi da ya halarci salla tare da Malam din yayin faruwar al’amarin ya shaidawa wakilin mu cewar,
“ Wani abin mamaki shine masallacin ba karamin cika ya ke yi ba da sallar Asuba, musamman ma ranar juma’a. Amma a ranar gaba daya sahu uku ne, kuma shi kan sa Malam din sai da ya makara, har ana tunanin yin sallah, sai gashi ya shigo. Kuma a duk lokacin da ya shigo, ya kan rufo wannan kofa ta shigowar sa, amma a ranar sai ya barta a bude.”
Fantsamuwar wannan labari ke da wuya, al’umma suka shiga cikin matsananncin rudu gami da firgicewa, musammam ma da ya ke wani abu makamancin irin wannan bai taba faruwa a tarihin birnin na Dabo ba. Cikin kankanin lokaci sai ga shi masallacin da abin ya faru ya dankare da jama’a kamar kasa. Mafi yawancin su matasa, wanda kowa ka kalla kuka kadai ya ke iya yi. Yayin da wasu ke ta tintubar juna domin neman sanin yadda al’amarin ya faru. Kana kuma masu salula ke ta faman buga waya domin sanar da ragowar ‘yan’uwa abinda ya faru.
Bakunan mutanen wajen ya rarrabu zuwa gida biyu, wasu na tunanin kisan na da alaka da addini, yayin da wasu kuma ke danganta hakan da siyasa. Wanda hakan ya sa kowa ya yi ta kawo hujjojin sa, gami da kokarin gamsar da abokin zancen sa. Ganin yadda hankulan al’umma suka tinzura ne, ya sa aka umarci mutane da akyi sahu za’a tayar da sallah. Wanda nan da nan akayi yi sahu tun daga cikin masallacin har zuwa inda ba’a zato. Can bayan wani lokaci ka ce a tafi filin Firamare ta [orayi saboda nan din yayi kadan.
Bayan jama’a sun yi ta tururuwar tafiya can ne, sai aka kara umartar su da su kara yin sahu. Nan ma sai bayan kowa ya yi sahu, sannan aka kara sanarwa an daga yin sallar sai bayan sallar juma’a. Wanda hakan ya sa wajen ya yamutse, wasu suka rika kokarin a buda masa ya shiga, yayin da wasu suka rika yunkurin hana shi. Amma daga karshe dai ya samu ya shiga.
Al’amarin da ya janyo rudu tare da hayaniya. Domin kusan duk cincirindon jama’ar wajen babu wanda ya goyi bayan wannan yunkuri da wasu suka yi.
“ In banda ma jahilci, yaya za’a kashe babban malami kamar Ja’afar, ace wai gwamna ba zai zo ba?”
Mafi yawancin kalaman da suka rika fitowa daga bakin mutane kenan. Gani al’amarin na neman rincabewa duk kuwa da tsauraran matakan tsaro da aka tanadar a wajen ne, ya sa aka umarci wani malami, ya tattaro hankulan mutane ta hanyar rarrashi da kuma siyasa. Wanda ya fara da bayyana yadda al’amarin ya faru, cewar an harbi malam ne da alburusai guda 6, wanda hakan ya sanya gaba daya wajen daukar kuwwa, saboda tausaya gareshi. Ya bayyana matsanancin alhinin sa, tare da alkawrtwa mutane cewar jinin Malam ba zai tafi a banza ba. Domin ga mai girma gwamna a wajen , ga manyan alkalai da masu fada aji, sun amince cewa komai zasu yi, zasu yi domin bankado wadannan ‘yan ta’adda.

Domin dauke ta ke da ni’imomi tare da fa’i’dojin da Malam din zai samu, sakamakon mutuwar shahada da ya yi. Wanda har ta kai mai hudubar na fadin, suna masu kishin ina ma ace, suma su rabauta da irin wannan falala.
Bayan an kammala sallar juma’a, sai kuma yi masa sallah wanda ya gagara, domin gungun al’ummar da suka taru a wajen. Bazai iyu a ajiye gawar a sanya ta a gaba, gami da sallatar takamar yadda ake yi ba, sakamakon jama’ar da suka dandazo a wajen. Sai da ta kai limamin ya hau bisa motar gawar, aka yi sallar a haka. Domin ko fito da gawar ba a yi ba, saboda gudun yadda al’umma ke doki tare da rububin taba gawar. An samu samu kusan sa’a guda da rabi ana ta faman hada mutane da Allah akan su bari a fito da gawar, domin a rufe ta, amma abin ya ci tura. Mutane ran su ya baci sosai har suna ta fadin:
“ Sai kace ba musulmai ba? Don Allah ku matsa!”

Kaza lika ya kasance ma’abocin hikimar Magana da kuma zalakar fayyace al’amura daki-daki ta yadda mutum zai iya fahimta cikin sauki. Yak an taba kowane bangare na rayuwa, bama akan matasa da kuma yadda zasu amfani rayuwar su, ta hanyar neman ilimin addini da kuma na zamani. Mai kuma son fige gaskiya ga mahukunta akan suji tsoron Allah, su yi gaskiya cikin lamuran su, da kuma yadda zasu inganta tattalin arzikin kasa da kyautata rayuwar talakawa.
Wanda yak an yi tafiye-tafiye jihohi daban-daban, ya na mai isar da sakon Ubangiji. Ya kuma samu karbuwa fiye da kima, domin nahiyoyi da daman a amfanuwa na daga wa’azozin sa. Mutane da dama daga garuruwa daban-daban, sun ci gaba da bayyana ta’aziyyar su, gami da jimamain sun a wannan abu day a faru a gareshi. Kana kuma a halin yanzu an dauki sara duk inda kaje kaset din wa’azin sa ake sanyawa. Masu sayar da kasa-kasai kuma na nan sun duk ufa sun a masu cinikin ire-iren wa’azin sa, musammam ma wanda ya yi ranar alhamis’ wanda shine na karshe kafin da asuba, yan ta’addar su halaka shi.

Boko Haram: An Kashe Maciji Ba a Sare Kansa Ba

Wai ina taken shugaban kasarmu na bin tafarkin doka da oda? Ina kwarmaton ministar yada labarai Dora Akunyili na farfado da martabar kasarmu? Wata babbar aya ce daga mahaliccin kowa da komai da ya ke saukar da ita ga wanda Ya so, a lokacin da Ya so, ba kuma tare da shawartar mutum ba, walau da ciwo ko ba ciwo a tafi. Garkuwar Nakasassu frowns at food price hike

Wife of the Kano state governor, Hajiya Halima Ibrahim Shekarau, Garkuwar Nakasassu has called on businessmen and industrialists in the state and beyond to look at the possibility of reducing the prices of essential commodities especially during the month of Ramadan.




She made the call in a meeting with representatives of some industrialists, the business community, the Ulama among other stakeholders at the Government House, Kano.



The Garkuwar Nakasassu stressed the need for all to show concern as well as make an input in ensuring sanity in the business sector particularly as it affects the pricing of essential commodities, lamenting that such price rise usually becomes so visible during the month of Ramadan; the trend that she prayed should be controlled.



She disclosed that the aim of the meeting was to brainstorm with the stakeholders with a view to looking into all the possible ways of addressing the problems of the price hike, saying that the government is always ready to contribute its quota in that direction.



In his response, representative of Dangote Group of companies, Alhaji Wafa Dantata, attributed the problem of the pricing of commodities to certain factors to include the cost of raw materials and production, saying Dangote Group has never increased a single kobo on the prices of their commodities.



On the issue of the persistence increase in the exchange rate of foreign currencies to Naira which most businessmen pretend to be among the reasons for the cost of their commodities, an elder in the WAPA market, Malam Hassan Muhammad, revealed that such increase was a problem from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other government authorities, saying this is supposed to be addressed for the benefit of the common man.



He reiterated the determination of their companies to continue to assist the less-privileged in the society so that they will continue to have a sense of belonging as human beings.



On his part, a renowned scholar in the state, Sheikh Ibrahim Khaleel who called on all in the business and production cycles to always have the fear of God in whatever they do, also stressed the need for a price control mechanism that will dictate how such commodities will be priced as against the present trend of allowing market forces to determine the prices.



In his remark, Uztaz Tijjani Bala Kalarawi drew the attention of those concerned with the issue of pricing as well as the wholesellers and retailers to always be considerate and fear Allah in their dealings, lamenting that most of the times such price increase is being fuelled by the press as making certain reports incite others to hoard and increase the prices.



Speaking at the occasion, Sheikh Abduljabbar Nasiru Kabara who commended the wife of the governor for her foresight in calling for such an important meeting, tasked the Ulama not to relent in educating those concerned with the plight of the poor.



During the meeting, representatives of various trade unions in the state who spoke, including that of fruit sellers at Yan Lemo Market, Alhaji Mu’azu Yaro Gabasawa, tried to exonerate themselves from the blames for the unnecessary price increase in the prices of commodities in the state especially during the fasting period.

President Return


President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua returned from his 10-day medical check-up in Saudi Arabia yesterday, where he also performed the lesser Hajj (Umra).




Barely a few hours after arriving the Aso Rock Villa, the president responded to media reports, which alleged that his ongoing civil service reforms were anti-north and a promotion of a southern agenda.



The president equally dismissed claims of northernisation of the nation's banking sector, as alleged by some southerners, through the government's action in which some bank executives were indicted for sharp practices.



A national daily had reported yesterday that the reforms being implemented by the new Head of Service, Mr Steven Oronsaye, were aimed at frustrating the upward movement of northerners in the federal bureaucracy in favour of southerners.



In the case of the Central Bank of Nigeria, the presidency defended the reform initiated by the governor of the apex bank, Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, saying it was intended to restore sanity to the industry and add value to investor's interest.



Speaking to State House correspondents through his spokesman, Mr Olusegun Adeniyi, Yar'Adua decried a continuous linkage of every public policy to ethnicity, saying that every well-meaning Nigerian must be wary of the resurfacing of ethnic politics in the nation's polity.



He said the primary purpose of introducing the tenure system was to institute due process in the appointment of directors and permanent secretaries, arrest the succession crisis in the service, create vacancies, reinvigorate the system, and boost the morale of qualified and deserving officers.



According to Adeniyi, Yar'Adua was not happy with the new trend of ethnicisation of politics and politicisation of ethnicity in Nigeria, and wondered why the introduction of tenure for permanent secretaries and directors in the Federal Civil Service should be a thing of apprehension when the exercise "is already boosting morale within the system."



The presidency was particularly irked by those it believed were out to misrepresent the facts contained in the approval granted by the president.



Adeniyi said: "What is particularly unfortunate is the recourse to ethnicity whenever some interests are affected by crucial decisions taken in promotion of national well-being.



"While no one has faulted the exercise, there is now a whispering campaign that it is targeted against the North simply because the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mr. Steve Oronsaye, is from Edo State; the same way those affected by the banking reform would argue it is targeted against the South because the CBN Governor, Mr Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, hails from Kano!"



He added, "While the Nigerian civil service has undergone several reforms and will continue to undergo reforms in conformity with the ever-changing times and circumstances, the latest exercise, which has been approved by President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, is the tenure for permanent secretaries and directors in the Federal Civil Service."

Sheme, Balaraba and Maje emerge winners

Three writers emerged yesterday as winners of the maiden edition of Engineer
Mohamed Bashir Karaye Prize in Hausa Literature. The investiture of the prize
took place at an impressive ceremony organised by the Abuja chapter of the
Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA). Editor of LEADERSHIP, Ibrahim Sheme, took
the first prize with his novel, 'Yartsana, while Hajiya Balaraba Ramat Yakubu
and Maje El-Hajeej Hotoro came second and third with their novels, Matar Uba
Jaraba and Kankana respectively.
The prize was endowed by the widow of the late Mohammed Bashir Karaye, a former
commissioner in Kano State and an ardent lover of the arts. The widow, Mrs
Bilkisu A. Bashir, who is the Executive Secretary of National Judicial Service
Commission, Abuja, was inspired by a desire to immortalise her husband's memory.

The Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi; a former Chief
Justice of the Federation, Justice Muhammadu Lawal Uwais and a former minister
and ambassador, Professor Iyorwuese Hagher were some of the dignitaries that
graced the occasion that took place at the International Conference Centre,
Abuja.

A university don, Prof. Anthony Chukwuemeka Oha, delivered the keynote address
in which he traced the history of written literature in Africa and showed how
literary competitions helped develop creative writing in Hausa. He lauded the
Karaye family for supporting the cause of literature in the country.

Similarly, chairman of the panel that judged the books, Prof. Abdalla Uba Adamu,
highlighted milestones in the history of Hausa creative writing competitions
from 1933 to date, showing how such milestones affected the direction and
quality of the books produced. Commenting particularly on the current contest,
he told the audience that the judges' panel had used a simple method in
assessing the 19 entries for the awards, with a focus on cultural impact of the
entries, themes, plot, style, etc. He was confident that the three winning
entries were adjudged the best out of the lot.
The winners were given certificates and cash prizes of N150,000, N100,000, and
N50,000 respectively - an innovation in Hausa literary competitions. They were
invited to tell the audience who they were and what motivated them to go into
writing. They said they were motivated by the desire to enlighten the public and
influence the society for positive change.

Also speaking at the ceremony, Professor Hagher noted that the Hausa language
had attained a position of acceptability that could easily make it the lingua
franca of Africa. He also pointed out that the language had increasingly
transformed itself to go with the times.

Justice Kutigi stated that the Hausa language contained ingredients of African
cultural activities and had grown tremendously within the last three decades. He
praised the organisers of the competition for a job well done.

Engineer Karaye was remembered by one of his bosom friends, Gen. Lawal Ja'afaru
Isa, a former governor of Kaduna State, who recalled their days together with
the deceased in secondary school and after. He said Karaye was a very humble and
hard working friend of his, saying they had related with one another up till the
time of his death. Isa was represented at the occasion by his wife Hajiya
Zainab.
Karaye died on October 25 last year, and yesterday was the first anniversary of
his death.

The sponsor of the prizes, Hajiya Bilkisu, had told reporters in her office
weeks back that she was willing to fund the writing competition every year. And
the chairman of the Abuja chapter of ANA, Dr. Emman Usman Shehu, revealed that
the competition would be interchanged between the genres of prose, poetry and
drama every year, hinting that next year's contest would be waged among Hausa
poets.
The audience was entertained by a troupe from the Abuja Arts Council, who
performed a Fulani dance.
